  • The band provides DJ service on the breaks and will coordinate with you prior to the big day to compile a list of songs that you would like played when the band takes a break.You will have music of your choice from start to finish.

  • If you are interested in having a full horn section, the band can be enlarged to include trumpet and trombone.

  • The band travels with full production that can be enlarged or scaled back depending on the situation and can also provide audio equipment for your ceremony if in the same vicinity. A microphone for the minister, as well as amplification and speakers for any music to be played during your ceremony is available. The band also offers live or recorded music of your choice for your ceremony and will coordinate with you prior to play it at the appropriate time.

Wedding FAQ'S

  • How soon should I book the band before my wedding?

 

We book up really quickly and advise any bride to book any wedding vendor that she really wants as soon as she locks in her date, A small deposit reserves the date and ensures that you get the band on your wedding day.

  • How much do you charge?

​

Our rate is determined by a number of factors, including the date, time and location of your wedding. However, our rate is in line with the current market and is affordable. Contact Troy for specifics.

  • We love certain styles of music, what will the band play?

​

Troy Marks and No Idea allow you to pick your own song list from over 400 songs that they can perform flawlessly. Ideally, we advise our clients to choose their song list about 8 weeks prior to the wedding date as the band is consistently adding new songs to their amazing song list.

 

  • Do we have to provide a stage or audio equipment for the band?

​

No. The band travels with full production that can be enlarged or scaled back depending on the situation. It is a clean and classy stage look that we can even alter to your color choices.

  • Can you provide speakers or music for my ceremony?

 

Yes. We can provide audio equipment for your ceremony if it is in the same vicinity. A microphone for the minister, as well as amplification and speakers for any music to be played during your ceremony is available.

We also offer live or recorded music of your choice for your ceremony and will coordinate with you prior to obtain it, and play it at the appropriate time.  In short, we can do your ceremony.

  • What does the band wear?

  • Do you guys play second line music?

​

Yes we do. If you are second lining around the room we can accommodate you. But, we also offer brass band services for anything outside of the reception area. The price will depend on the number of musicians that you would like to play. Troy can give you a recommendation if you are unsure.

  • I am having a cocktail hour prior to the reception. Can you provide music and equipment for that?

​

Yes, we can. We can provide audio equipment and​ either live music or prerecorded music on an IPOD or cell phone.We have various instrumental combos or singers if you would like live music. If you want prerecorded music, we will download the playlist of your choice and play it at the appropriate time.
